Fuji has made some really impressive moves into the videography world with their recent mirrorless camera releases, the XT20 and X100F, offering 4K quality at a reasonable, lighweight and compact package.
These new releases continue this trend. Drawing on Fujinon’s Cine lenses’ edge-to-edge optical performance and low distortion, the lenses have three adjustment rings – aperture, zoom and focus – with the latter ring encircling the lens by 200 degrees to allow for precise adjustments.
Interestingly, they are releasing Sony E-Mount versions before Fuji X Mounts. The MK18-55mm will be the first release in this line, slated for release in early march and the E-Mount MK50-135, which is still in development, should be available this summer. Fuji X-Mount versions of these lenses should be available by the end of this year.
